Welcome to my new blog
After a hack attack to my previous blog, i thought i’d give it a rest and move on to a secure platform where i can blog with ease of mind – off the thought of being hacked again. I love wordpress, so this is going to be the new place. It should give me peaks into the newly implemented features in practice.
The hacking occurred on multiple domains – on two servers. The old server got compromised, the second one blocked the attack. The compromised server had malware codes injected to the <head> section on all files. This also had me look at what was not working and what needed to be resurrected 
. So i’ve done without many to concentrate on the important works. For now the server this blog is in – is in good hands.
One thing i’ve lost and regret not backing up was collected historical events and dates of the Maldives, which was made into an XML file to display a timeline. I’ll be looking around for it – when i do find it i’ll be making it available for download so it’s not going to be easily lost again.
What’s the lesson learned on the hack attack?
To keep complex passwords and to choose web hosts wisely.
